About our Franklin concrete contractor company

Our story, from an office job to concrete
I spent years at an office job before I quit to work with my hands. I learned concrete on other people's crews, pouring and finishing for them, and in 2021 I started Superior Franklin Concrete here in Franklin. Most of our calls come from homeowners, along with some builders and property owners, for driveways, patios, steps, garage floors and foundations.
What I like best is a job with a puzzle in it, like a steep bank, a tight entrance or an old slab that needs a clean cut. I care most about what's under the concrete and where the water goes, because that's what decides how a slab holds up. I come out to look at every job, I write the estimate myself, and I lead the crew that does the work. If you've got a project in mind, our contact page is the quickest way to reach me.

Our values, as you'll see them on your job
These are the things you'll notice from the first walk around your yard to the day the forms come off. They come from how I learned the trade and what I've seen fail.
We check your ground and water first
Before we talk finishes, I look at the subgrade, which is the dirt your slab sits on, and where rain runs across your yard, because a base that's just raked level settles and a slab that slopes toward the house sends water where you don't want it. The base is hidden on day one and it's the first thing people want to cut from a budget, so it's the part we won't skimp on.
Your estimate shows what's in and what isn't
Every estimate we write spells out what's included and what's left out, like tearing out the old slab and hauling it away. That way you can lay our bid next to someone else's and compare them line by line.
We take the jobs other crews pass on
A steep bank, an entrance too tight for a truck to back in, or an old slab that needs a clean cut through it are the jobs we actually enjoy. I'll walk you through how we plan to handle yours before anything gets dug out.
Credentials, licensing and permits for your project
Licensed and insured.
If something goes wrong on your property while we're working, you're not the one left holding the bill. Ask to see our paperwork at the estimate and we'll show you.
Permits and the City of Franklin's contractor rule
In Franklin, building permits come from the city's Building and Neighborhood Services Department, and when a job costs more than $25,000, the city requires a State of Tennessee licensed contractor to pull the permit, with a copy of that license and a certificate of insurance on file first. We find out which local office covers your address and handle the permit paperwork that's ours to pull, and if part of the job belongs to another trade or needs an engineer, we tell you who that is.
